Susan Davis

RCC Executive Director
Susan's professional experience includes: business owner, organization director, community advocate, teacher, event and festival planner, and innovative project developer. She has lived in Rainier Valley since 1989. 

Susan appreciates new challenges and is able to visualize the big picture while not being afraid to roll up her sleeves to make things happen. Earning a reputation as an expert on most things related to Southeast Seattle, Susan and has an extensive list of contacts, allowing her to offer customized introductions to our members. Susan is always watching out for Southend news and new project developments. As a Southend advocate, Susan will make a call concerning just about any issue that Rainier Chamber members care about.

Curtis Brown

Curtis is the Executive Director of the Southeast Seattle Senior Foundation. He also consults on community economic development issues with an emphasis of increasing economic activity among residents.

He also runs an economics blog/website: Out of Oz Economics. He holds an MBA in economic development from Eastern University.

Mark Temmel

Member at Large
Mark Temmel is a Seattle native that has lived in the Rainier Valley since 2005. He owns Temmel Real Estate, a commercial real estate brokerage in the Mt. Baker neighborhood. He has been a Board member with the Rainier Chamber since 2014. 

He also sits on the Board of the Mount Baker Community Club and is the Clubhouse Chair. Mark is passionate about the value of community and is dedicated to serving SE Seattle. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University. In his spare time he loves to cook, drink wine, watch baseball and travel.

Kathie Weibel

Member at Large
Kathie grew up on the East Coast and moved with her family to Seattle in 1981. She practiced law in Maine and Tacoma before joining Boeing in 1984. At Boeing she negotiated new aircraft contracts in Europe, South America and the United States. Towards the end of her career at Boeing she was also tasked with promoting diversity within Boeing Commercial Aircrafts.
Volunteering has always been important to her. Over the course of her life she has served on the Boards of BECU, Boeing Employees Tennis Club, Seattleā€™s Southeast District Council, the Rainier Beach Community Club, Bath, Maine YMCA and as President of the Maine State League of Women Voters. She is currently tutoring at the Rainier Beach Library.
She and her husband have lived in Rainier Beach since 1990 and believe it is one of the best kept secrets in Seattle.
